This page is dedicated to a special friend and Dad, Pastor Bob, who loves me unconditionally and encourages me with his words of wisdom and devotions. I Love you Dad thank you!

Rainbows

If I could catch a [IMAGE]
I would do it just for you.
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a [IMAGE] fair
So let me be what I know best
A friend that's always there.

I say I am a Christian

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost"
That is why I chose this way.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are too visible
but, God believes I'm worth it.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I speak His name.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.

Cherish Rainbows

I cherish rainbows within my heart,
where dreams and hopes reside--
rainbows as colorful and as blithe
as those that light up the skies.
When dark clouds cluster,
or dire storms shroud the sun,
I keep my inward rainbows agleam and persist--
till the heavens unveil anew.
Then dewdrops dance to sunbeams,
and mists beguile the golden rays.
Afresh may I find the celestial arcs
that would illuminate my days.

The Cross

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine,
after the rain ....

Perhaps you may stumble,
perhaps even fall,
But God's always ready,
To answer your call ...

He knows every heartache,
sees every tear,
A word from His lips,
can calm every fear ...

Your sorrows may linger,
throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish,
dawn's early light ...

The Savior is waiting,
somewhere above,
To give you His grace,
and send you His love ...

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
"God always sends [IMAGE] ... after the rain ... "
